This movie feels quite a bit forward for its time!!!

Yes, Geytiri, it's quite forward. Uses of words like "virgin," "pregnant," and all the obvious allusions to sleeping over (with) these girls and the obvious youthful (child-like ingenue) of the character "Patty" is obviously very questionable for that day and age. Actually, Maggie McNamara is 10 years younger (25) than William Holden (35). Dawn Addams is actually 2 years younger (22/23) than Maggie McNamara, which easily makes it possible for David Niven (43) to be her father.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moon_Is_
